Recycled Card is a medium weight very cheaply priced card. It is very useful for laser cutting test designs before committing to expensive stock.
At Gramity we use recycled card to
- The main reason we use recycled card at Gramity is it saves us bucket loads of money. Check video example.
- Because this stock is so cheap we use it principally to prove and proof laser designs, in some cases saving Gramity’s clients hundreds of dollars due to errors with their own design files.
- Test all stencil designs to ensure that the bridging parts of the stencil design work as intended.
- Test any complex designs we have not previously laser cut.
- Test box and packaging templates so the client can check what they are packaging actually fits.
- Give proof test samples to clients to take away and check that it all fits together as they had planned.
- Cut basic stencils, single use only mainly text out of recycled card.
- Training purposes, because its so cheap that any errors or mistakes on recycled stock, you may be looking at less than a dollar in stock costs.
