Gramity card stock is suitable for C02 laser cutting & engraving
Lasercard
Lasercard from Gramity is a triple layered card, whiteish outer layers and yellow brown inner, used for
- Laser engraving with a C02 laser, because the inner layer is yellow-brown in colour any engraving shows up well. See the examples.
- Laser cutting, cutting with a kraft knife, it can be bent around a curve, glued, stained and painted. Extremely versatile.
- Creating a range of finished product, also for teaching, for model making or pro-type testing.
- Lastly it is very affordable.
Boxboard
Gramity’s boxboard stock is a medium weight white card suitable for cutting box templates from, and forming into any size customised box you want.
Templates are available FREE at templatemaker.nl. On that site there are more than 30 different shapes and template designs. Boxboard can used for making most of those templates that are listed.
This is also an affordable stock. Very suitable for use with C02 lasers.
Recycled Card
Recycled Card is a medium weight and cheaply priced card. It is used for proofing, jig making, templates, single use stencils and making prototypes before we commit to using more expensive stocks on our C02 laser. While it is the cheapest card stock it is also the most valuable because in our operation it saves Gramity thousands of dollars in stock costs every year.
At Gramity we use recycled card to
- Test all stencil designs to ensure that the bridging parts of the stencil design work as intended and also to create single use stencils.
- Test any designs both our own and client designs that we have not previously cut on our C02 laser.
- For training, proofing, testing box templates, creating jigs and providing clients with physical proofs.
Stencil Stock
Stencil stock is a medium weight card, it is resistant to tearing and weathering.
Stencil stock can:
- Be spray painted with water based and enamel paints.
- Be washed repeatedly with both water and turpentine.
- Be used on curved surfaces as it is flexible. We have a client who makes cake decorating stencils. The face stencil is by Tee Smiler.
- Stencil stock resists tearing, heavy wear or weathering.
Black Card
Black card is a new stock in our C02 laser card range. We have a video showing an example of cutting out a presentation box, then assembling it. With caption explanations that you can easily follow.
Possible uses for Black card
- Short run customised presentation boxes and folders.
- In a whole range of different laser cut cards for promotional use in Family or Formal celebrations.
